The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA).

The National Association of Estate Agents celebrated it's 40th Anniversary in 2002, having grown to become the country's leading professional body for residential estate agency. Founded in 1962 by estate agent and entrepreneur Raymond Andrews, the NAEA was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in UK estate agency. This struck a chord with the industry at a time when there was little representation for estate agents and has allowed the Association to grow phenomenally over the years.

Today, its key roles include providing help and guidance for property professionals across a broad spectrum of disciplines while continually campaigning to make the property market more efficient and user-friendly for the home buying and selling public.

As a leading player in the property industry, the NAEA offers significant benefits to both estate agents and consumers.

The Association represents estate agents and property professionals throughout the UK, raising service standards and accountability in the industry. Each NAEA member is bound by a vigorously enforced Code of Practice and must adhere to professional Rules of Conduct. Failure to do so can result in heavy financial penalties and possible expulsion from the Association.

When you use an agent who is a member of the NAEA, you can be sure that you are dealing with a true professional who is committed to providing a first-rate service to customers. Why? Because the NAEA only admits to it's membership those individuals who have demonstrated their thorough knowledge of estate agency practice, law and ethics.
