What is Conveyancing?
The process of selling a property normally involves instructing a Solicitor to ensure that all the legal aspects of the property transaction are dealt with correctly.
Both buyer and seller will require a Solicitor (not the same one) who will act for their clients to gather all the paperwork, verfiy details, provide contracts and update the land registry etc to make the sale happen. This process is called Conveyancing.
You are free to choose which Conveyancing Solicitor you use. This could be someone you already know such as the family Solicitor or a local firm you already know.
Another option which is becoming much more popular with the development of the internet are online conveyancing companies. These follow exactly the same process as a local Solicitor, are regulated to act on your behalf and provide the same end result, often working out less expensive into the bargain!
REB Estates can offer you access to these services through two of the country's leading companies. This will give you a professional conveyancing service aimed at making the process quicker, with less hassle and allowing you to check on progress 24 hours a day.
